(4/13/2007) Thanks to our buddy Tim for letting us know we were mentiond in this month's Spin Magazine under "City Guide". It mentioned our show with Girlschool as a must see. While the show with Girlschool unfortunately didn't happen, we're hoping they'll reschedule soon.

(1/10/06) HAPPY NEW YEAR! Just an update for ya.....we're working on new songs. Look for us to start playing out again in the Spring.

(11/2/05) Long time no update! Summer was a blast. We played WARPED tour, and Pride Fest, worked on new songs and here we are planning our "Fall (Down) Fling" at the good ol' Skatium again. This show is 11/4/05.

(4/12/05) Happy Spring. Our c.d. is completed and our c.d. release show/skating party was a success! Thanks to all who came out to show their support. A good time was had by all.

(1/6/05) Hey..we made it to "Best of 2004 list" not once, but twice in Playback magazine. The Shemps/Misses show was #2 for best live show and our song "18 w/a Mullet" was listed as #2 best song local band song title. Check it out here: Playback

(1/2/05) HAPPY NEW YEAR! We're still working on our c.d. and have our belated 3 yr. Anniv. Show @ the Hi Pointe on 2/19.

(12/8/04) Have a Misses Christmas!! We'll be announcing info regarding our anniversary show in Feb. '05. Happy Holidays.

(09/14/04) We're recording!! Whoohoo...the Misses will *finally* have a full length c.d. out soon enough. We'll keep you posted.

(07/19/04) Folks, Misses Tammi Pon has gotten herself in a bit of trouble in Walnut County. In order to protect her, we've had to change her name. From now on-you don't know, or ever knew Tammi Pon. Please refer to her from now on as Misses Olota Luv (and no questions please). You may want to take a break from watching "Cops" for awhile too. We want any of you feeling the need to call the police when you see her photo.

(03/23/04) Well our 2/14 -2 year anniversary show was a huge hit yet bittersweet since it was Misses Mmm's last show. She's doing great and pursing other interests and we wish her the best. After auditioning some rockin' bass players, we've invited Misses Tammi Pon to join the Misses! Tammi Pon has years of musical experience (bass and drums) and has been in lot's o bands (such as: Long Pig, Plaid Cattle, Whitey, the Pelvic Girdles, and currently playing with Tin Horn). She has quite the sick sense of humor, enjoys a big ol' 40oz of MGD, and spends her spare time hanging out at the reptile house. We plan on playing out within a month or so. Once we have a show confirmed, we'll be sure to spread the word. The web site needs some updates (we were actually hoping to have a whole brand new spankin' site for you) and we'll get some new band photos on there soon. Have a gooder!

(02/03/04) Hey Gang, Well it's almost time for our 2 year Anniversary show. Saturday, February 14th at the Hi Pointe: (in order of appearance) the Unmutuals the Misses the Jabs (from Indy) the 7 Shot Screamers CUPID will be there and JAGERMEISTER is sponsoring the celebration!! This year will be a bittersweet celebration though, because it's also our LAST show with Misses Mmm. Misses Mmm has been pursuing other interests for awhile now, and decided it was time to move on-literally. Misses Mmm has been a great band mate, and will continue to be a great friend. In fact, she's so great that she's going to stick around long enough to help us get a new bass player ready to continue the rock. We have a few gals interested in joining us, and will take our time finding the right one. The Misses also plan on recording this spring and hopefully will have a new bass player ready to celebrate our full length c.d. release party. We'll keep you posted!

(02/03/04) This is a very cool all female Internet radio site out of Portland Oregon. Church of Girl Radio We're on rotation on 2 different shows with two different songs. The Garage Girls show and the Radio Stars show. ..and yes, they have metal girls on there too!!

(01/13/04) Happy New Year!! Hope the New Year is treating you well and look for an upcoming reminder about our 2 year anniversary show on 2/14 at the Hi Pointe with the Unmutuals, the 7 Shot Screamers, and from Indy-the Jabs. Of course this event is being sponsored by Jagerimeister! Oh, and feel free to submit the Misses for a chance for us to play at the The Riverfront Times and MECA Music Conference. vote here..the RFT Thanks!

(10/7/03) Hi Gang, The Misses are back from Vegas! We had a great time, performed well (we were told the first 3-4 songs weren't loud enough though darn it), met fun folks, saw ton's of great bands, and didn't bet the farm away! We'd like to thank everyone that has been so supportive of us by coming to our shows and our yard sale. This extra money helped us get to Vegas, and for this we are very grateful. Special Thank You's to Tony, Laura, and Crippler Dave. As most of you know, Misses Co-Co moved to New York so we are once again a 4 piece band. We're taking some time off from playing out and are working on new songs. Some other cool news: The Misses are in a book!! I was interviewed and submitted a story for "Gigs from Hell", and you can purchase this fun book here- Amazon and Sleazegrinder Very cool! We'll be updating our web site soon and posting new photo's, so be sure to check it out. Happy Rocktober!

(8/29/2003) Farewell Misses Co Co....she's moving to NYC and we'll miss her!

(8/8/2003) Hey, Misses Robinskin and Sikki Nixx were interviewd by Anti-Radar. See the scoop here........Anti Radar

(7/1/2003) HOLY COW WE'RE PLAYING IN VEGAS!!!!!!!! Check it out....the Vegas Rockaround

(6/19/2003) Well we didn't win the RFT "Best New Artist" award, but it sure was cool to be nominated. Here's a nice review from our last show by the RFT: "2 to 7 p.m.: Arrived at the Tanqueray Outdoor Stage a few minutes into the Misses' set. Founding members Misses Mmm, Misses Sikki Nixx and Misses Robinskin are joined by two brand-new guitarists -- in fact, the lineup is playing in public for the first time, after only a couple of weeks of practice. If they're nervous (an understandable reaction under the circumstances), it's impossible to tell. After some not-exactly-PG-13 stage banter, the band roars through such insta-classics as "Mullet Man," a homage both to Heart and to Sikki Nixx's Jefferson County hoosier-newlywed neighbor, and hops off the stage to thunderous applause."

(6/7/2003).....and 1 more thing...people have been asking if Misses Mmmm is going to continue with us. We are very happy to report that Misses Mmmm has decided to visit Long Beach, CA. often as opposed to moving there!! WHOOHOOO.

(6/6/2003) Well we've been nominated by the Riverfront Times for "Best New Artist 2003". We are thrilled!! The music showcase is Sunday, 6/8. We play at 2p (see "Shows" for details). We are also excited to have 2 new Misses playing with us. After Misses T left the band, we had auditions for a new guitar player. There were 2 gals that we liked so much, we decided to ask them both to join us! You can see the new gals (Misses Lay Low and Misses Co-Co) on 6/8.

(4/17/2003) We've got to stop doing Jager shows!! Whewie...this Misses (Sikki) doesn't know when to say NO to Jager..hahaha. We had a lot of fun, Lisa had a great b-day bash, and Misses T rocked out for one more night. We're gonna miss her!!

(03/18/2003) We are sad to report that Misses T has decided to leave the band, and Misses Mmm may soon follow. Both have had a blast, but are just ready to pursue other interests. We will be looking for a guitar player and eventually a bass player. Anyone interested please contact us. Misses T's last show with us will be on 4/12 at the Hi Pointe. Misses Mmm will stick around until we find a replacement. All is cool, and we still hang out. We were all pals before the Misses and this will contine.

(02/14/2003) OUR 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY SHOW!! This was a blast. Thanks to all came out and joined the fun. The Jager was flowing and the Hi Pointe was packed. Big thanks to Rene' for her write up about us in the STL Riverfront Times: "Yeah, the options are almost overwhelming, but for some the decision will be easy. If your idea of the perfect VD celebration involves $1 Jager shots and raunchy minimalist rock & roll, get thee to the Hi-Pointe, horndog, and quick! The Misses, four St. Louis women who like to sing about sex, are tireless advocates of drunken debauchery (their official slogan, adapted from the Dirt Cheap liquor ads, is "The more you drink, the better we sound"). Misses T, Mmm, Robinskin and Sikki Nixx have been playing together for just over a year, and make no mistake: Virtuosas they're not. But they've got an unerring sense of what they can do, and they do it with unusual panache. Love Experts bassist and Vintage Vinyl manager Steve Scariano describes the Misses' sound as "the Cramps meet the Shangri-Las," which just about nails the quartet's pussycentric brand of cock rock. Watching glamorous blond frontwoman Sikki Nixx's perfectly unselfconscious drag-queen-inspired dance moves, you get the feeling that she couldn't be happier, that she's in her element and, goddamn it, she's gonna enjoy herself. Sounding a bit like a cross between Ann Wilson and Pat Benatar, she has the sturdy karaoke-trained pipes of someone who was born to entertain, who's spent hours in front of her bedroom mirror finding the exact right tiger-print leotard to go with her fuchsia feather boa, who genuinely loves to sing about hair dye and foxy young dudes with mullets. For more information on the Misses, see www.stlvbug.org/misses. "
